Luxury Perth Development Chooses Temperzone

The Towers development at Elizabeth Quay in the heart of Perth is one of the most stunning apartment / luxury hotel developments in Australia. The development combines 379 residential apartments, a 204-room 5 star luxury hotel, ground floor retail, dining, and entertainment in an integrated resort-style development.

Like other luxury apartment developments in Australia, NZ, and SE Asia, the Towers development has chosen to use Temperzone HWP Water Cooled package units throughout.

The Towers project adds to an impressive list of luxury developments using Temperzone HWP-Y product, including, Faulkner Building and Eastbourne Apartments in Melbourne and Kota Kasablanka in Jakarta.

Ideally suited to Hotels and Apartments

The reasons Temperzone HWP-Y series Water cooled package units are ideal for the luxury apartment market are clear. They combine high efficiency with the ability to provide control and metering done at an individual apartment level, while still allowing easy connection to a BMS where required.

Clever Heat exchanger design reduces costs and increases efficiency

An additional advantage of the HWP- Y series products is that they are based around Temperzone’s unique Thermoshell ® heat exchangers. Single skin Thermoshell ® heat exchangers provide exceptional heat exchange performance combined with reduced water flow rates. In multi story buildings the reduced flow rate can have a significant impact on the cost of water piping and pumps. An added benefit of the Thermoshell ® design is reduced fouling of the heat exchanger over time, which helps maintain efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

Clever Control Technology comes standard

One of the features of the Temperzone HWP product that makes them ideally suited for hotel and apartment use is the Unit Controller technology that comes built in. Most importantly the remote on / off function which allows the air conditioning to be controlled by a key card, is built in. A range of functions that allow the water valves and pumps to be managed via the UC board. This includes valve opening and closing, pump call and a clever flush function which detects the unit is not in use for more than 24 hours and ensures that water circulates periodically reducing fouling and contaminant built up. Functions can be controlled independently by the UC board or via BMS connected via the UC board.

Temperzone supplied 610 HWP-Y Water cooled package units to the project plus a small number of CWP water cooled units for air supply to common spaces.
