Temperzone and Hitachi at ARBS 2022

After four long years and repeated cancellations due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the ARBS exhibition made a come back at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in August 2022.

The exhibition ran for three days between Tuesday 16th and Thursday the 18th of August and hosted national and international HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) manufacturers and distributors.

This year, Temperzone and Hitachi took their stands to the next level! With many new products to showcase, it made sense to increase the size of the stands.  The Temperzone stand alone was 16 x 9 metres large and the Hitachi stand was 12 x 9 metres.

The Temperzone stand was a true reflection of the dedication to innovative products that deliver exceptional seasonal energy efficiency with low Global Warming Potential (GWP). Our range of R32 Inverter Econex products on display comprised of Vertical Water Cooled Units, Split Ducted Systems and Air Cooled Package Units. These systems are designed to deliver exceptional seasonal energy efficiency through the implementation of leading componentry and system control.

The stand displayed the latest in Air Cooled Package Units, Inverter Water Cooled Systems, Chilled Water Fan Coils, Hot Water Heat Pumps including Underfloor and Pool Heating Units, and the soon to be released MT Air Handling Units.

Also on display was the new extra-large capacity R32 Inverter Package Units (140 – 200kW), the next generation of products that build on the OPA 2100 which won the AIRAH 2020 Product of the Year Award. The 140kW OPA 1410 had to be craned into the exhibition centre as it was simply too large to bring in any other way, a great showcase and a unit much larger than what is normally displayed at ARBS.

The star of the Temperzone stand was the Econex OPA Unit. Temperzone’s Econex Inverter R32 Air Cooled Package Units have been designed to assist organisations in their carbon reduction efforts. Utilising R32 refrigerant, with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 677, combined with a reduced refrigerant charge, enables a 71-79% reduction in overall GWP per kW of cooling or heating when compared to R410A systems (GWP 2088). It proudly won the ARBS 2022 Product Excellence Award which is focused on modern technologies that demonstrate innovation.

The Hitachi stand showcased the latest in residential and commercial products. SideSmart VRF is our range of slim horizontal modular VRF Units which are designed to suit installation sites with restricted space requirements. SideSmart was a winner of the Australian 2021 Good Design Award for Commercial or Industrial Products.

Two other global award-winning products were also on display - the Silent Iconic Cassette which was designed to suit the aesthetic needs of architectural designers; and the airCloud Pro multi-site IoT remote VRF management system, an intuitive app that anyone can use to manage their VRF air conditioning systems remotely from their smart phone or computer.

Also on display were various VRF indoor units, Mini VRF, R32 Multi Split, the premium P Series Wall Mounted unit and the soon to be released new airHome Wall Mounted units.

A comprehensive product offering set Temperzone and Hitachi apart from the rest. Together, both brands have one of the largest residential and commercial products offering in Australia and New Zealand.
