Located within Moorebank Intermodal Terminal in Sydney’s South-West is Mainfreight’s 55,000 sqm 3PL warehouse and wharf cartage facility offering comprehensive services including warehousing, wharf operations, and transportation solutions.
This advanced facility includes 70,000 racked pallet spaces with satellite racking storage with multiple layers and levels. Autonomous Mobile Robotics operating within a designated grid or pick path environment, pick products without human involvement.
The facility includes a temperature-controlled area of 35,000 pallet spaces where temperature is maintained at 18 degrees Celsius for temperature sensitive freight such as pharmaceuticals. The temperature-controlled solution was designed, engineered and constructed by Paramount Airconditioning (Aust) who selected twelve custom 137 kW Econex Pro R32 Inverter Systems with advanced controllers to provide a total of 1875 kW of cooling.
The use of R32 also enabled significant reduction in refrigerant related GWP (Global Warming Potential) compared to traditional R410a systems.
