Auckland Factory Impresses

Temperzone recently hosted 2 very important Auckland Factory Tours. The first was a mixture of 32 contractors and consultants from both sides of the Tasman. While the second Tour consisted of 40 New Zealand Apprentices. Both groups were extremely impressed by what they saw.

The first tour was led by Ron Deo, Business Development Manager from Sydney, with assistance from a variety of other Temperzone staff. The purpose of the visit was twofold; to reward some of Temperzone’s regular customers while also giving them an insight into the size and complexity of Temperzone’s operation.

Customers were organised into small groups and guided around the factory departments to give them the chance to gain a greater appreciation of the manufacturing processes. Visitors were particularly interested in the Quality Assurance systems and performance testing of the units, both of which give a strong indication of the reliability and trustworthiness of the Temperzone brand. They also commented on the knowledgeability of their tour guides and the obvious strength of the engineering efforts. Our visitors generally found the tour highly educational.

But don’t just take our word for it. Temperzone News asked Robert Fisicaro, Construction Manager for ACTIVEAir* what he thought of the tour and this is what he had to say.

“I really enjoyed the Factory Tour, particularly the process and assembly lines on actual building of the various different models of air conditioning systems. Being a refrigeration mechanic, I found this very interesting.

“I was also impressed with the QA system and testing procedures of Temperzone.

I was really surprised of the size of factory and the fact that Temperzone is a family run business that has many employees which has been employed for more than 30 years. I personally have had a relationship with Temperzone for some 25 years, and in that time seen the product improve in development somewhat, hence why the relationship has remained strong.”

Temperzone also uses tours like this as an opportunity to get feedback from the visitors on the units it manufactures.

This visit was followed up a week later by a group of about 40 New Zealand Apprentices. The factory tour was arranged in conjunction with the Climate Control Companies Association (CCCA), who’s aim is to promote high standards of business competence and industry conduct in the HVAC industry.

Cam Crawford, board member of the CCCA, was very impressed by what he saw and is keen to arrange another tour later in the year. Temperzone values the opportunity to showcase it’s facilities to up in coming apprentices who may have had no idea of the size and scope of Temperzone’s factory. The company is proud of its long history, high quality standards and contribution to the economy in providing job employment for the local community.
