Manukau Business Hall of Fame Induction

On the 18th September 2009 Eric Kendall, founder of temperzone Ltd, was posthumously honoured with an induction into the Manukau Business Hall of Fame.

The award was presented at a gala dinner by Len Brown, mayor of Manukau City and Governor General Sir Anand Satyan, and accepted on Eric's behalf by the current CEO Les Kendall.

It was the late Eric Kendall who provided the vision behind temperzone’s growth and continued success.

Papatoetoe born Eric Kendall, a young, single-minded and gifted engineer initially qualifying as a plumber and later studying Refrigeration Engineering in London. Founding Temperature Control Ltd in 1956, Kendall pioneered the New Zealand production of heat transfer coils for manufacturing and industrial processing applications. With a policy of employing some of the most skilled engineers in the industry, expansion proceeded at a steady pace consolidating the company’s position as an industry leader.

Kendall gave many years of service to the air conditioning industry, clients and community.

Still inspired by the pioneering attitude of it’s founder, temperzone looks to a future of innovation, re-investing in research and prioritising new advancements in energyefficiency, inverter technology and digital scroll compressors. With over half a century’s experience, temperzone’s dynamic, driven and customer-focused approach is set to break barriers into the next 50 years and beyond.
